It Takes a Village
Utopiat Family Village was built around the simple idea that it takes a village to raise a child. We believe children thrive when surrounded by caring adults who share their wisdom, passions, and presence.
Our screen-free community is a sanctuary where real human connection takes center stage. By stepping away from digital distractions, we create space for meaningful discovery, nature-based growth, and the quiet tranquility of true presence.
Our Core Village
Jasmine Zhou
Founder, Visionary & VILLAGE Builder
Jasmine is an entrepreneur, mother, and lifelong learner with a passion for reimagining childhood and education. As the founder of Utopiat, she believes children thrive when they spend less time consuming and more time creating, connecting, and contributing. Drawing from years of exploring holistic education, gardening, entrepreneurship, nervous system regulation, practical life skills, and conscious parenting, Jasmine created Little Village as the first expression of Utopiat's larger vision: helping raise sovereign, regulated, and capable human beings through meaningful, screen-free experiences rooted in nature, community, and real life.
Liza Jones, RYT-200
Lead Facilitator, Children's Yoga & Mindfulness Educator
Liza is a certified yoga teacher for children, teens, and adults with over fourteen years of personal yoga practice. She holds certifications in children's yoga and mindfulness, Yin Yoga, Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, meditation, and trauma-informed teaching. Having taught children throughout Montgomery County and the Washington, D.C. area, Liza brings a calm, nurturing presence to Little Village. She leads our daily curriculum through yoga, movement, breathwork, nervous system regulation, Human Body Lab, storytelling, community circles, and our two-week journey from Mutualism to Metamorphosis.
Julia
Garden, Food & Community Educator
Julia is a community organizer passionate about helping children and families reconnect with food, nature, and their communities. Through food recovery, gardening, and regenerative practices, she creates opportunities for hands-on learning, collaboration, and meaningful connections that help build a more resilient local food system.
At Utopiat Family Village, Julia may lead workshops in gardening, composting, regenerative living, food recovery, and garden-to-table education.
Guest Educators & Workshop Hosts
Our guest villagers join us throughout the program to share their unique gifts through specialty workshops and community experiences. Workshop offerings will be finalized based on enrollment, community interest, and instructor availability.
Yiwei Xue
Fashion Designer & Creative Arts Educator
Yiwei Xue is the founder and designer of **I'm_**, a bespoke fashion studio specializing in handcrafted garments that celebrate individuality. A former finance professional turned artisan, she combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design to create meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Passionate about sharing the beauty of handmade art, Yiwei teaches fashion and creative workshops that inspire confidence, patience, and self-expression. She believes every child is a designer in their own way, and that making something by hand is one of the most powerful ways to learn, express themselves, and connect across cultures.
At Utopiat Family Village, Yiwei leads our **Design Your Signature Style** workshop.
Jordyn
Dance & Creative Movement Educator
Jordyn is the founder of **The Movement Endeavor**, where she creates personalized dance experiences that encourage creativity, joyful movement, and self-expression. With extensive experience teaching children of all ages, she believes movement should help children explore, imagine, and discover what their bodies are capable of—not simply memorize choreography.
At Utopiat Family Village, Jordyn leads **Creative Movement** and **Mommy & Me Ballet**, using music, storytelling, structured play, and dance to nurture confidence, coordination, creativity, and a lifelong love of movement.
Andrei
Medical Qigong & Energy Medicine Educator
